Our school will launch the “Anchors Star Swimming Class” in the new school year.  Learning to swim can help children lay a foundation that will last a lifetime, including:       

• Mastering Survival Skills – Indulge your kids in the fun of water sports.
• Increasing Body Immunity – A right level of coldness can stimulate cardiac activity, accelerate blood circulation , enhance resistance to coldness and improve body immune system.
• Defending Against Respiratory Diseases – Swimming can ameliorate asthma and strengthen respiratory system.
• Positive impact on Children’s Learning Capabilities – Research proved that swimming has positive effects on mathematics, oral, visual-spatial and athletic performances.
• Strengthening Body Coordination – Body coordination is the basis of children’s physical development. Continuous swim practice can promote the development of children’s nervous system and muscle building, as well as the muscle strength and flexibility. 
• Stress Release – Swimming can reduce stress level so that children can face homework and examinations with greater ease.
• Adversity Training – Swim learning requires patience and persistence, which in turn cultivates the children’s perseverance, positive attitude and capacity to resisting adversity.

        Our school will invite Stanford Swim School to co-organize the “Anchors Star Swimming Class”.  Stanford Swim School is the largest swim school in Hong Kong and the first swim school to receive multiple international professional certifications.  Participating students who perform well may have the opportunity to become members of Anchors Swimming Team and represent the school in competitions.

        The swimming practice location will be arranged at the indoor heated swimming pool of Yuen Long Anchors Academy, and there will be free parent viewing seats.   If parents are interested in registering, please submit the registration form and cheque to the school reception on or before 13 September 2024 (Friday).
